How to create resolutions you can stick with.

It’s that time of year again when we all decide to make big changes for the year ahead. Why is it 2 months in we fall flat?  Is it because we are trying to make unrealistic changes to our day-to-day lives?

Here’s what I have learned the long and hard way;

Do you really know who you are (and I mean the deep down stuff)? It will be impossible to create positive changes in your personal life if you have not taken the time to get to know you.

Simple changes can have the biggest impact, like drinking more water each day or saying something nice to someone you care about. Over time these little things can totally change the way you feel and look.

Get real, don’t set yourself up to fail. Planning to run a marathon when you have never set foot in the gym may not be the best goal (never say never…) Try walking for 30 mins up to 4 times a week instead.

Embrace change and know that it is just another life journey. Focus on the things you have control over and try not to focus on the negative.

My hope for 2012 is that I can spread around a bit of joy and empower women to feel fabulous everyday!!

Wishing you all much happiness in 2012, Shana
